How is COVID-19 impacting your Thanksgiving plans? For many Americans, the holidays will look different this year and the feeling of loss and other negative emotions may threaten the mental health of our loved ones and our own mental health. Wednesday we will visit with licensed professional clinical counselor and assistant professor of psychology at Cedarville University Betsy Linnell, who will encourage us to consult the three “C”s in helping ourselves and others as we navigate the 2020 holiday season.
This time of year is, for many, a time of reflection, and a recounting of our blessings and this morning our conversation will move in that direction as we welcome Sheridan Voysey, author of Reflect with Sheridan, to the show. Sheridan has assembled 70 different stories on joy, meaning, belonging, compassion, hope, and more, and will share a story from his life as well as encouraging us to be aware of the story God is writing in our lives. It is an encouraging look at how slowing down and taking time to reflect helps us to grow in our wonder, knowledge, and appreciation of our awesome God.
Sheridan Voysey is a writer, speaker, and broadcaster on faith and spirituality. He has been featured in numerous TV and radio programs, including Day of Discovery and 100 Huntley Street, is a regular contributor to faith programs on BBC Radio 2, and speaks at conferences and events around the world. Sheridan is married to Merryn, and lives and travels from Oxford, United Kingdom.
