Hour 1: Dr. Mark Caleb Smith: Post Election Perspective

Join Ken and Deb Monday as they welcome Dr. Mark Caleb Smith to the morning to discuss the election process and the varying news concerning the results. Dr. Smith is the Chair, Professor of Political Science at Cedarville University, and he will offer his expertise as to how to think critically regarding the news we digest. We will discuss how our faith speaks into how we respond and how we move forward after all the votes are counted.


Hour 2: David W. Gill: Workplace Discipleship 101

The average person spends around 90 thousand hours at work over a lifetime. With that incredible investment of our time it’s imperative to really consider what role God has for us in the workplace. We are going to delve into this topic this morning with author/professor David w. Gill. David will share with some daily practices that will build us up as we begin the ministry of work God has for us today.

Dr. Mark Caleb Smith

Dr. Smith serves as Associate Professor of Political Science and the Director of the Center for Political Studies at Cedarville University. He teaches courses in American Politics, Constitutional Law, and Research Methodology/Data Analysis. Dr. Smith has authored numerous refereed journal articles, book chapters, and other publications. His primary research interest is in the field of religion and American politics. He received his B.A. in history from Bryan College (1992), an M.A. in the history of Christianity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (1995), and an M.A. (1997) and Ph.D. (2001) in political science from the University of Georgia. Before arriving at Cedarville in 2004, Dr. Smith taught at Tulane University and Calvin College.
