Most of us yearn to live a whole and meaningful life. We want our lives to matter. Our world has told us a lie as to how wholeness, meaning, and purpose are truly found. This morning Pastor Robin Steele will share what he has learned about a meaningful life from his daughter Kennady. Shortly after her birth, the doctor told Robin and his wife that Kennady would not have a "meaningful life." Discover how God had a different future for Kennady and what they have learned about what makes a meaningful life.
What is the significance of scripture that is a mirror to an earlier text? Take your seat in Dr. Jim Coakley's Bible interpretation 101 class held every month on Ken and Deb in the Morning as he takes on "Deja vu" in the Bible. Be listening as we travel back to Genesis 1 in the story of Noah, Eve and Sarah, Noah and Lot, and Peter and Paul on Friday's show.
Dr. Jim Coakley has taught for sixteen years as professor of Bible at Moody Theological Seminary specializing in Old Testament and Biblical Languages. Prior to Moody he was involved in pastoral ministry for thirteen years. He has traveled to Israel multiple times as a tour leader and has also toured throughout Turkey. Jim is married to Gayle and they have two grown children and two grandchildren. He was a contributor to the Moody Bible Commentary and is working on a second doctoral degree through the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He also has a special interest in how the use of technology intersects with Biblical studies and has written articles and spoken at conferences on that topic.
