If you were writing a story about your life, what would be some of the labels that you’d use to reveal who you are to the reader? On Friday, Dr. Jim Coakley will join us to talk about the ways that biblical authors have labeled the characters they are writing about and how those labels can make our Bible reading sparkle! Using this technique, Dr. Coakley will share a “breakthrough” insight from the book of Ruth.
Are you looking for a way to serve our community and stay safe? Friday we will hear more about a group of area believers, from various churches, who are serving the community by praying for people in front of their homes. Join Ken and Deb as we welcome Lisa Walden to talk about the “At your Home-Personal Prayer Appointments” and how you can receive them and join them in this prayer ministry during COVID-19.
Dr. Jim Coakley has taught for sixteen years as professor of Bible at Moody Theological Seminary specializing in Old Testament and Biblical Languages. Prior to Moody he was involved in pastoral ministry for thirteen years. He has traveled to Israel multiple times as a tour leader and has also toured throughout Turkey.
