Hour 1: Major Scott Shelbourn: Salvation Army Response to COVID-19

The COVID-19 Coronavirus has prompted many changes to day to day ministry in our community. Monday we will visit with Major Scott Shelbourn about some of the changes that have been put in place at the Salvation Army of the Quad Cities.  The Salvation Army is continuing to provide for the most vulnerable in our community and we’ll hear how they are doing this during COVID-19 and how we can join them in the work.


Hour 2: Dr. Gary Chapman: Keeping Your Marriage Strong during COVID-19

What are some tips for keeping your marriage strong through a quarantine? As a nation we are experiencing something unprecedented as we heed the shelter in place orders. For some couples this is a dream come true, and for others, differences may be even more pronounced adding stress to our closest relationship. Dr. Gary Chapman

Dr. Gary Chapman is a well-known marriage counselor and director of marriage seminars. He has written more than 25 books including the #1 New York Times Best Seller, The Five Love Languages. Chapman is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in anthropology from Wheaton College and Wake Forest University, respectively. He has received M.R.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and taken postgraduate work at the University of North Carolina and Duke University. Chapman and his wife, Karolyn, have been married for more than 45 years and reside in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Chapmans have two grown children, Shelley and Derek.
