Hour 1: Pastor Brian Bill: The Wonder of Christmas

Have you lost the wonder of Christmas? Sometimes we can become so familiar with the story of the first Christmas, that we lose our awe of the incredible miracle. What once stunned us doesn’t anymore. Pastor Brian Bill will help us to ponder anew the glorious night our Savior Jesus came into our world as we pause and allow the shepherds to teach us a few lessons from their experience.

Hour 2: Dr. Mark Caleb Smith: Impeachment Perspective

If you’re in need of some education or clarification concerning the impeachment process, be listening Monday as we head back to class. Dr. Mark Caleb Smith, Director of the center for political studies at Cedarville University, will join Ken and Deb in the Morning to answer questions about the process of impeachment, what it means and next steps. Dr. Smith will also offer some historical perspective and what the current action reveals about the state of our union.

Brian Bill is the senior pastor at Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island, Illinois.  He attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he was led to the Lord through the influence of his college roommate. He is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.  Brian serves on the Executive Board of Directors for Keep Believing Ministries, is a Pro Contributor to SermonCentral.com, is an author of two tracts (Soul Satisfaction and The Only Way), is a contributor to the Preacher’s Sourcebook, a columnist for Believe.com, writes an “Ask a Pastor” feature for Believe.com and serves as the chaplain for the Quad Cities Missing Persons Network. He also hosts a weekly radio program called, “On Mission” that airs on WDLM on Sundays at 11:00 am and 7:30 pm.

Dr. Smith teaches courses in American politics, constitutional law, and research methodology/data analysis at Cedarville University in Ohio. He has authored numerous refereed journal articles, book chapters, and other publications. His primary research interest is in the field of religion and American politics, and serves as the Director of the Center for Political Studies. Before joining the faculty at Cedarville, Dr. Smith taught at Tulane University and Calvin College.
