Hour 1: Dr. Edward Moody Jr.: First Aid for Your Ministry

Being involved in ministry has its difficulties with loneliness, discouragement, and criticism often knocking on the door and our guest today is hoping to bring a bit of first aid to those bruised and battered from ministry. Dr. Eddie Moody has released a new book addressing some of the first aid that’s needed for surviving and flourishing in ministry and he’ll share some of what he’s learned and how we can all be a part of building up those that God has called to serve in ministry.

Dr. Edward Moody

Edward E. Moody Jr. has been a counselor educator at North Carolina Central University since 1995. He is a professor of counselor education and associate dean of the school of education. He also serves as pastor at Tippett s Chapel in Clayton, North Carolina. He has a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in counselor education, an M.A. from Middle Tennessee State University in clinical psychology, and a B.A. from Welch College in pastoral training. He is a licensed professional counselor supervisor as well as a licensed health services provider-psychological associate. The Licensed Professor Counselor Association of North Carolina honored him as their Counselor of the Year in 2016. He and his wife, Lynne, live in North Carolina, along with their two children.

Chef Stephanie Godke has had a long career in the restaurant industry. She enjoys sharing her original recipes on Ken and Deb in the Morning. She works as a local chef and is a consultant to restaurant owners all around the Midwest. She teaches cooking classes at the local community college and also provides catering services around the area. Some of her favorite recipes can be found in her latest cookbook, Recipes on Cody Road.
