Hour 1: In Her Shoes: Dancing in the Shadow of Cancer

Are you frightened by a cancer diagnosis? Do you know where to turn for encouragement, comfort and support? Today’s guest has been where you are, receiving a devastating cancer diagnosis. Now Joanie Shawhan has written down what she wished she would have known during her cancer journey in her new book, In Her Shoes: Dancing in the Shadow of Cancer. It is a collection of stories of women who have been on the cancer journey along with humor, helpful tips, uplifting scriptures, and encouraging prayers. Monday we will hear Joanie’s experience with cancer and hear what comforted her the most in the middle of the storm.

Hour 2: Losing the Cape

Who is a hero in your life? We are not saying this person has to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but we are talking about a person who has struggles of their own, but they have set that aside to serve somebody. Monday we visit with author Dan Stanford, who has that kind of hero in his life and is encouraging all of us to lose the cape and take up the cross to become that hero that God created us to be.

Hour 3: Morning Devotional

Ken's morning devotional comes from Stephen Arterburn's "100 Days of Character: Daily Devotional"
