Hour 1: Love Your Work

Do you love your work? If you had to really think about that, you’ll want to listen in Thursday. Ken and Deb visit with Robert Dickie III, who has a passion to help people find the job that they were born to perform. We won’t always have those loving feeling about our workplace, but we were created to be productive and look at our contribution as valuable and essential. Hour 2: Burnout

Are you experiencing job creep? You feel as though you need to be continually plugged in to what is going on at work? Recently the World Health Organization included “burnout” from job creep to their list of syndromes in the current International Classification of Diseases. On Thursday we visit with Psychologist/author Dr. Paul White, who will comment on after hour work expectations and how to live out a healthy balance of work and rest.

Robert Dickie III has served as a decorated Air Force Officer, the CEO of an international company, and as the leader of several non-profits. In July 2011 he became the President of Crown. This unique and bold career path has given Bob a first-hand look at the changing economy/job market we now find ourselves in. Bob and his wife Brandi reside in Knoxville, TN with their six children and two dogs. They are both graduates of the University of Tennessee. Bob earned his Master's Degree from the University of Arkansas in Industrial Engineering and is currently in the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program.

Dr. Paul White is a psychologist, author, speaker and consultant who, for over two decades, has helped countless businesses and organizations make work relationships work. Co-author of The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace (written with #1 New York Times bestselling author Dr. Gary Chapman), he has given lectures around the world to the likes of Microsoft, Princeton University, the Milken Institute, Napa Valley Community Foundation, Dartmouth College and the Houston Community Foundation, among others and has been cited in and utilized as a consultant by U.S. News & World Report, CNN/Fortune.com, FoxBusiness.com, the Chicago Tribune and Huffington Post LIVE. Dr. White graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wheaton College with a major in Christian Education, earned his Masters of Counseling from Arizona State University and received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University. He has been married for over 30 years and is the father of four adult children.
