Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Monday we will be visiting with Mark Eckel from the Comenius Institute who grew up experiencing this violence and he will share about his experience. We will also look at how we can be proactive in living out and teaching our children to live out a life of protecting and respecting others.

Healing Well and Living Free from an Abusive Relationship

Dr. Ramona Probasco has done extensive research regarding domestic abuse and she will share her findings and help us to understand the causes and what healthy healing looks like for those involved in the abuse cycle. Dr. Probasco's book, Healing Well and Living Free from an Abusive Relationship, offers the signs and the steps that a victim can take to move from victim to survivor to overcomer.  We'll also talk about how the church can respond with help in a domestic violence situation.
