Faith & Finance LiveStatistics show that young adults in the US are sadly lacking in basic money skills. On top of that, many young adults that are Christ-followers are leaving home without an understanding of a biblical worldview of money. On Monday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Faith & Finance Live's host Rob West will share some age appropriate money lessons for kids that address both the spiritual and practical aspects of money management.
In a recently released advisory, the U.S. Surgeon General raised an alarm about the “devastating impact of the epidemic of loneliness and isolation in America, and called on the nation to “prioritize building social connection.” At the same time, studies show a continuing decline in the percentage of Americans who regularly visit the one place where the ultimate connection is formed and joyful, relational communities thrive — their neighborhood church. Dr. Ken Pruitt, President of Leland Seminary in Arlington, VA wonders if this "loneliness epidemic" represents a tremendous opportunity for the church to grow by doing what it does best.
Rob West is the host of the nationally syndicated radio programs, Faith & Finance, Faith & Finance Live, and The Faith & Finance Minute. Rob also serves as the CEO and spokesperson of Kingdom Advisors, an international community of financial professionals who are specialists in delivering biblically wise financial advice. Ken earned his Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) at Baylor University’s Truett Seminary in Waco, Texas, specializing in Preaching and Theology. His M.Div. with Biblical Languages was earned at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth Texas. He also studied for one year in the School of Religious Education at Southwestern Seminary with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling. Ken is married to his high school sweetheart Terry, and they have three beautiful daughters, Nichole, Bethany, and Sarah Joy. Each daughter is adopted, and each adoption expresses a unique story of God’s grace and love for a broken and hurting world.
