For some of us, performance dominates our Christian lives. We tell ourselves we’re right with God, but deep inside we know something is wrong. You’ve been giving Jesus your best for years. You’ve faithfully obeyed and served him. You appear to be a stellar Christian example. You’re doing all the right things, but you feel distant from God. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author John Fugler encourages you to ditch performance and embrace radical freedom in Christ. He did it. After decades of Christian leadership and service, God changed his life.
The number of pastors who have given serious consideration to quitting full-time ministry has risen dramatically over the past year. New data highlight the main reasons two in five pastors have thought about leaving ministry—as well as some reasons pastors have determined to stay. On Wednesday’s Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Josh Zeichik, Director of Church Engagement for FOTF talks about how stress, and feeling lonely and isolated were factors that negatively affected pastors that are burned out and pastors that are determined to stay the course. What can we as believers do to support and lift up our pastors and ministry workers?
