May is National Foster Care Month. There are over 391,000 children and youth in foster care in the U.S., and mental and behavioral health is the largest unmet health need for these children and teens. Josh will also share about his new 1Word book that he wrote from lessons he learned during a very challenging time in his life.
Charles Bender earned his B.A. degree in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University and also studied at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Charles came to Place of Hope in 1999 following many years of work with various housing, social, and human services organizations throughout Palm Beach County. He is married to his wife, Trish, and they have three adult children.
Josh Lane is the Palm Beach Regional Director of First Priority and has worked for FP since 2019. He enjoys getting to help build up this generation of student leaders and see God transform student's lives with the gospel! His 1Word Book is his first ever book. He is so excited for a part of his journey to touch the lives of others through this book. He is married to Haley who he adores. He loves pickleball, riding bikes, and playing board games. Jesus is most important to him and then his family and friends!
