On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, First Care's Executive Director, Beau Heyman will be live in studio to give us updates on how his organization is preparing for the new challenges that will come with new legislation that has been signed in recent days. On April 14 Gov. DeSantis signed a law that bans abortions in Florida after the sixth week of pregnancy, with a few noted exceptions. The Supreme Court still has to rule on this ban, but Beau will give us details on how the demand for service at First Care will skyrocket when women in crisis will no longer have easy access to abortion. Prayers are needed, because we know that laws do not automatically change hearts.
When the 25 inches of rain hit Fort Lauderdale unexpectedly two weeks ago, many people were caught off guard and unprepared. Some were faced with a crisis situation that they felt they couldn't handle, and it's easy to feel alone in your worries and other reactions when you don't have anyone to support you. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Heather Palacios and her ministry, Wondherful has partnered with the city to distribute Life Boxes to those hurting after the flood destroyed some homes. Two suicides have been reported since the devastation, and Heathers says, "That is 2 too many".
Rob Hoskins is the president of OneHope. Born to missionary parents, he grew up in the Middle East and France. Since taking leadership of OneHope in 2004, he has continued to advance the vision of God’s Word. Every Child. by partnering with local churches to help reach over 2 billion children and youth worldwide with a contextualized presentation of God’s Word. Rob has overseen the expansion into digital with the Bible App for Kids and Kids Bible Experience developed in partnership with YouVersion. Rob and his wife, Kim, have two married daughters and are the joyful and proud grandparents to three grandchildren.
Beau Heyman is the Executive Director of First Care Women’s Clinic, where he began his tenure in 2002 teaching abstinence-until-marriage to teenagers in both public and private schools. He returned to First Care as Development Director in 2014, and became Executive Director in 2016. Beau was born in Gainesville, FL, but grew up overseas with missionary parents and his older brother. He spent ten years in Liberia, Costa Rica, and Uruguay before moving back to Florida in the eleventh grade. He met his wife of 22 years, Jenny, while at Palm Beach Atlantic University, and they have five wonderful sons ages 10-18. Beau earned a BA in Communications from PBAU and an MA in Christian Leadership Studies from Liberty University.
Heather is the founder of WONDHERFUL, Inc. She is married to Raul Palacios, has two beautiful children D.J. and Andy, and lives in sunny South Florida.
Heather is a multiple attempt suicide survivor and believes if you wake up breathing, that's GOD'S proof to you to keep going. She has dedicated her life to helping those going thru a mentally difficult time and have attempted or are contemplating suicide. Heather is a graduate of Judson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. She is a frequent speaker across the USA at Business Events, Mental Health Conferences, Churches, Prisons, Police Stations, Halfway Houses and various other venues.
