On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Anthony Bradley, college professor at The King's College in NY City, joins us to share why he believes we are in a "boy crisis". "Men and boys are lost!” He adds, “They don’t know why the country needs them. They don’t know why they are here.” The male problem today is a crisis of hopelessness. They lack a sense of purpose. He feels that the solution is NOT more programs, events, and educational resource for young men, but is more basic and simpler than this. It is individual life-to-life, active connection with other men who are older and wiser.
When we are looking for contentment in imperfect things, we are never content. We are only content in Jesus--when our foundation is in Him, and Him alone. On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Josh Bramos, worship leader at City Rev Church, tells us that when we are looking for satisfaction in imperfect things like a church service, a spouse, children, homemaking and job performance, it’s nearly impossible to escape the loop of complaining and bitterness. You will evaluate everything, all the time, because you want “everything” to become your preference. A content soul in Jesus is not searching because it has already found Him.
Dr. Anthony Bradley is professor of religious studies and director of the Center for the Study of Human Flourishing at The King’s College, Theologian-In-Residence at Redeemer Presbyterian Church—Lincoln Square, and serves as a research fellow at The Acton Institute. Dr. Bradley is called upon by members of the broadcast media for comment on current issues and has appeared on C-SPAN, NPR, CNN/Headline News, and Fox News, among others. He studies and writes on issues of the covenant theology, criminal justice reform, youth and family, poverty, education policy, social ethics, and race in America.
