On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Greg Laurie joins us to talk about the upcoming release of Jesus Revolution (the movie), on Friday, February 24 in theaters everywhere. The movie is based on a true story taken from a book written by American author and pastor, Greg Laurie, about the Jesus movement in California during the 1970s.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a constant in the news cycle for nearly a year, but the no-end-in-sight nature of this conflict has created a fatigue all its own. Well, imagine what it's like for the frontline volunteers and church leaders. Many of them are still living the crisis every day, struggling to put one foot in front of the other to keep running the race marked out before them. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Pavel Tokarchuk from Mission Eurasia tells us what's it like currently in Moldova as they minister to Ukrainian refugee families.
Greg Laurie is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship with campuses in California and Hawaii. He began his pastoral ministry at the age of 19 by leading a Bible study of 30 people. Since then, God has transformed that small group into a church of some 15,000 people. Greg has been married to Cathe Laurie for more than 40 years, and they have two sons: Christopher and Jonathan. Greg and Cathe also have five grandchildren.
Pavel Tokarchuk served as the director of School Without Walls in Russia and is the International Field Ministry Coordinator with Mission Eurasia. He is currently working with ME's ministry to Ukrainian refugees in Moldova. Pavel came to the Lord in 1991 at the age of 17, and immediately became involved with a variety of evangelical projects throughout Western Siberia, including “Christ to the Nations,” Billy Graham crusades via satellite, and short-term missions trips. His ministry skills were further developed during his time at St. Petersburg Christian University, eventually leading to his work in youth ministry and church-planting. Pavel’s personal motto is, “Live for God and serve other people,” and he strives to incorporate this concept into all aspects of his work.
