Hour 1: Hannukkah - with Greg Savitt
Hanukkah, which means “dedication” in Hebrew, begins on the 25th of Kislev on the Hebrew calendar and usually falls in November or December. Often called the Festival of Lights, the holiday is celebrated with the lighting of the menorah, traditional foods, games and gifts. Greg Savitt, Director of Jewish Evangelism for Rock of Israel will join Mornings with Eric and Brigitte on Monday to share with us some significant details about Hanukkah and its connection to Christmas and Jesus Christ.
Hour 2: The Characters of Christmas - with Daniel Darling
We don't like to admit it, but after reading the Luke 2 story of Christmas for years--or even decades--sometimes it doesn't grab our interest, and we begin to jump over the details without paying attention. That's why a new book was written, The Characters of Christmas: The Unlikely People Caught Up in the Story of Jesus. Monday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, pastor and author, Daniel Darling helps us take a fresh look at the Christmas story by getting to know all the characters who played a part in Jesus' birth.
Hour 3: Christmas Reflections and Ministry Update - with Dr. Mark Jobe
Every day in 2022, each of our 69 stations has presented the gospel clearly and passionately at least 10 times. That’s over 244,000 gospel presentations by year’s end. Greg Savitt
Greg Savitt was born and raised as a conservative Jew in a Chicago suburb. He attended Hebrew School, learned about Jewish traditions, liturgy, and the Hebrew language; yet he does not remember the rabbis talking about God as if He could be known personally. At age 16, while attending a Christian youth function, friends told him about Jesus, but it frightened him. As he got older, even though he had plenty of friends, money, and good times, he knew something was missing. He began attending church regularly as friends continued to witness to him. He left his job as a CPA in 1997 to become a full-time evangelist with Jews for Jesus for 14 years. Greg is now serving with Rock of Israel as the Director Jewish Evangelism in Florida.
Daniel Darling
Daniel Darling is an author, pastor, and leader. He is the director of the Land Center for Cultural Engagement at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dan is a bestselling author of several books, including The Characters of Creation, The Characters of Easter, and The Characters of Christmas. Dan is a columnist for World magazine and a regular contributor to USA Today. He is the host of a popular podcast, The Way Home as well as a weekly show What Do You Think With Dan Darling. Dan and his wife, Angela reside in Texas with their four children.
Dr. Mark Jobe
President of the Moody Bible Institute
Dr. Mark Jobe serves as the 10th president of Moody Bible Institute and as host of Moody Radio’s Bold Steps program heard nationally. He is the founding senior pastor of New Life Community Church, a multi-site church meeting in 27 locations throughout the Chicago area. He is also the founder of New Life Centers, an organization focused on helping youth in underserved areas of Chicago. Dr. Jobe earned a diploma from Moody Bible Institute in 1984, a master’s degree from Moody Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in transformational leadership from Bakke Graduate University. He is the author of What Now?: How to Move into Your Next Season (Moody Publishers). A passionate proclaimer of the gospel, Mark and his wife, Dee, have three adult children and two grandchildren.
