Native Americans. The First Americans. Have we forgotten them? Their history is everywhere in our nation from the rivers to cities to states to what we eat during our Thanksgiving dinners. But today, their battle to survive is not anywhere on our radar. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Ron Hutchcraft joins us to talk about how America's first mission field is still one of America's greatest mission frontiers more than 400 years later. How have we, as American Christians, missed ministering to these people with just 4% of Native Americans professing to know Jesus Christ?
The Thanksgiving Guests We Forgot
On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author and podcaster, Barb Raveling joins us to share how she struggled with emotional eating for 25 years, feeling like it was the stronghold she would never overcome. However, no matter how long readers have been on the roller coaster of weight loss and gain, there is a way to stop the pendulum from swinging. From her new book, Say Goodbye to Emotional Eating, Raveling coaches readers using Scripture meditations, journaling and thought-renewing exercises to create sustainable habits that fend off temptation and maintain weight-loss long term.
Imagine your children or grandchildren singing Christmas hymns and songs, not because they know the words or enjoy the melody, but because they understand the deeper meaning of the song. Imagine how their faith might grow by hearing a word from God through the stories of 25 well-known Christmas songs. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Mark Turman of the Denison Forum joins us to share about a devotional being offered called, The Songs Tell the Story, by Janet Denison. As you hear the lyrics sung, and understand the story behind why they were written, may this devotional enlighten and inspire you this Advent season.
