He and his wife Jan founded Heartlight, a residential counseling center for struggling teens and families in crisis. He has authored nearly two dozen books, has written hundreds of articles, and is host of the nationally acclaimed Parenting Today’s Teens podcast and radio broadcast, heard on over 1,800 radio outlets throughout North America.
Mark and Jan are the proud grandparents of four: Maile, Macie, Chase, and Carter.
Dr. Alison Cook is a psychologist and writer who empowers women to heal from past wounds, develop a strong sense of self, forge healthy relationships with others, and experience a loving God who is for them. Alison has worked with women, ministry leaders, couples, and families for over two decades. She is the coauthor of "Boundaries for Your Soul: How to Turn Your Overwhelming Thoughts and Feelings into Your Greatest Allies," a faith-based adaptation of the Internal Family System (IFS) model of therapy. She and her husband, Joe, are the parents of two adult children. They are based out of Boston and spend time in the mountains of Wyoming as often as they can.
