Is Resentment or Bitterness Building in Your Marriage?
The Bible has been translated or paraphrased into dozens if not hundreds of different English versions over the years. If you gathered a group of 10 Christians from different backgrounds and worship styles into a room and asked them all to name their favorite English versions of the Bible, you'd get at least three or four different answers or more! There is no "best" version of the bible, but there are two main philosophies of bible translations, "Word-for-Word and Thought-for-Thought. Susan Yates is a mom to five children (including a set of twins) and grandmother to 21 (including a set of quadruplets!). She has been married to her husband, John, for 50 years. They live in Falls Church, Virginia, a Washington D.C. suburb where John is the Senior Pastor of The Falls Church Anglican Church. She has written many books and speak on the subjects of marriage, parenting, faith issues, and women’s issues.
Chris Martin is a content marketing editor at Moody Publishers and a social media, marketing, and communications consultant.
