Hour 2: Celebrating Faith in the Hispanic Culture - with Pastor Virgil Sierra
At the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, it is a good time to celebrate the importance of faith on Hispanic culture. On Thursday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Pastor Virgil Sierra of Vertical Church in Sunrise will join us to talk about the fact that Latinos are the fastest-growing group of American evangelicals in the country. At the same time, a major demographic shift is under way. By 2060, the Hispanic population in the United States is expected to grow from 60 million to over 110 million, and none of this is lost on any church leadership.

Gerson Garcia
Gerson Garcia is the Manager of the Moody Radio Spanish-language channel. He received a Bachelor of Communications degree from The Moody Bible Institute, Masters in Theology from McCormick Theological Seminary, and postgraduate studies at The Lutheran School of Theology on Religion and Media. He is a professor of Church History at the Hispanic Biblical School in Chicago. Currently, he produces and hosts the Entre Amigos podcast. His long career as a media producer has led him to offer training workshops in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
Virgil Sierra
Virgil Sierra is the Lead Pastor of Vertical Church. Pastor Virg has a genuine passion for reaching the lost with the life-changing message of the gospel and an incessant initiative in equipping believers to make a difference. He is a worshiper at heart and sincerely aims to point people vertically to God by any means possible. Virgil and his wife Gislaine have been happily married 11 years and are the proud parents of Caleb, Sophia, and Nicholas. Virgil and Gislaine have a passion for helping families and marriages remain spiritually healthy, united, and strong. Virgil is also the founder and lead singer of the internationally renowned Christian music ministry of Contagious and speaks at conferences, nationally and internationally.
