Hour 1: Holy Hygge: Creating a Place for People to Gather and the Gospel to Grow - with Jamie Erickson

Hygge [HYOO-guh] has become a cultural buzzword. In a culture of rush, hygge appeals to their desire for rest—for slow living, shared moments, and fostered friendships. On Friday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author of Holy Hygge, Jamie Erickson unites the popular Danish practice with the deep, theological truths of the gospel. She unpacks the seven tenets of hygge: hospitality, relationships, well-being, atmosphere, comfort, contentment, and rest. In addition, Erickson shows how the external veneer of a lifestyle can create a life-giving home only when placed under the hope of the gospel.

Hour 2: How the Jewish Community Celebrates Rosh Hashanah - with Dr. Rich Freeman

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, commemorating the creation of the world and marking the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection and repentance that culminates in the Yom Kippur holiday, also known as the Day of Atonement. On Friday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Rich Freeman from Chosen People Ministries shares with us the traditions of how the Jewish Community celebrates Rosh Hashanah, the traditional reading of Genesis 22 at the service and the significance of many of these traditions to Christians.

Rosh Hashanah Service - CrossBridge Church - Sept. 25 at 7 p.m.
