Hour 1: SAT-7 USA Helps Isolated Christians Fight For Religious Freedom
A U.S. media ministry is providing a way for isolated Christians in the Middle East and North Africa to express their faith publicly – even as their religious freedom comes under increasing attack. SAT-7 USA broadcasts live Christian programs with local presenters via satellite and online video-on-demand, and encourages viewers to call in and participate. On Friday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Rex Rogers, President of SAT-7 North America, will join us to share how many Christians are eager to share their faith on-air and online, even though by doing so they are putting themselves at risk.
Hour 2: Proverbs: Wisdom From Above - Today in the Word for July
Youth may be wasted on the young, but wisdom certainly is not! Proverbs was originally written to train young men, giving them the wisdom to follow a righteous path, living in right relationship with God. But the Old Testament book of Proverbs is certainly not just for the young. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Russell Meek, O.T. and hermeneutics Professor at MTS, asks us to seeks the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength; desire wisdom above anything else; and worship our majestic God who is the author of all wisdom.

Rex Rogers
Dr. Rex M. Rogers is an author, speaker, and President, SAT-7 North America (dba, SAT-7 USA), the American arm for SAT-7, a satellite television ministry broadcasting Christian programming on five channels in three languages, Arabic, Farsi, and Turkish, reaching across seven time zones into 24 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as 50 countries in Europe. Dr. Rogers is currently writing Be One of God's Unlikely Leaders--Live With Focus, Get Things Done.This book will help people become leaders God empowers to change the world. Married in 1974, Dr. Rogers and his wife, Sarah, have four adult children and their spouses, nine grandsons and, finally, one granddaughter.
Russell L. Meek
Russ Meek studied Old Testament at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MA, biblical languages; PhD, Old Testament) and has taught at various colleges and seminaries since 2011. He is convinced that these stories and poems still speak to the brokenness of humans today, beckoning us into the arms of the God who made us and loves us even though we, too, are riddled with sin, hurt, and a longing to be loved. Russ writes widely for lay and academic audiences about all things Old Testament and its relationship to the Christian life. He and his wife, and their three sons live in north Idaho.
