In a historic and far-reaching decision, the U.S. Supreme Court officially reversed Roe v. Wade this past Friday, declaring that the constitutional right to abortion, upheld for nearly a half century, no longer exists. On Monday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Mark Caleb Smith, director of the Center for Political Studies at Cedarville University helps us understand this historic decision that will affect our country for years to come with abortion being a matter to be decided by the individual states and the voters in their states.
Monday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Moody Radio financial expert, Glenn Zimmerman joins us to talk about difficult scripture passages that relate to our finances. Wes Ward found his calling and love for Christian broadcasting at the young age of 16, when he began working at a local Christian radio station. This sparked a career that spans three decades in various radio and ministry leadership roles. Prior to joining Moody Radio as vice president, Wes served as executive pastor of ministry development at Gospel City Church in South Bend, Ind., where he and his staff ministered to the congregation through operational and administrative church support. Ward met his wife, Carrie, in college through a campus ministry and they have been married for 29 years. They have four adult children, all of whom love the Lord deeply. Ward and his wife love the outdoors, and Wes can often be found taking long hikes with “Hairy” their Great Pyrenees.
Dr. Mark Smith is the Chair, Professor of Political Science, Director of the Center for Political Studies at Cedarville University. He teaches courses in American politics, constitutional law, and research methodology/data analysis. He has authored numerous refereed journal articles, book chapters, and other publications. His primary research interest is in the field of religion and American politics. Before joining the faculty at Cedarville, Dr. Smith taught at Tulane University and Calvin College.
Glenn Zimmerman has been with Kenneth Frenke & Co. since 1996. Glenn is Vice-president of Kenneth Frenke & Co., manages the Atlanta office and regularly travels to South Florida to meet with clients. He lives in Atlanta with his wife Emily and their two terriers, Jackson and MacKenzie.
