Hour 1: How to Create a New Song
Psalm 96 begins by saying, “Sing to the LORD a new song…proclaim his salvation day after day.” On Thursday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Executive Director of Village Hymns, Julie Anne Vargas joins us and shares that songwriting has always been a central part of Village Hymns, and VH believe that songwriting is a form of worship. Every year Village Hymns invites local worship leaders and musicians to participate in a 28-Day Songwriting Challenge – challenging them to write for 10 minutes every day for the month, to help them develop a daily habit of songwriting. Songwriting can become a lifelong journey with the Lord!

Julie Anne is happily married to her Cuban-American husband, Erick, since 2014. In their journey, they've walked through many seasons of life — and God has always given them songs to sing on the journey. They desire to experience the love of God as a catalyst and service to others.
Duane Roberts
In 2008, Duane Roberts visited Calvary Chapel Boynton Beach, and by the third visit, he and his wife Adeline knew this was their church home. Two years later, he was ordained as a pastor. His heart is to shepherd God’s people and to love on them as He would. Duane really connects with people who are going through a hard time and feel it is an honor to teach God’s Word. Together with his wife Adeline and their children, Makai, Adren, and Sanai, they pray that there would be a great harvest of new and committed believers in Boynton Beach.
