Silence, Civility, and Sanity addresses the reclamation of civil communication and healthy public conversation at a time when people are very divided. Tuesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Stephanie Bennett, Professor of Communication and Media Ecology at PBA joins us to share how throughout this book, she focuses on the importance of silence to temper speech and embrace the art of listening to foster a more positive dialogue and civil society.

National Foster Care Month is a time to acknowledge the 463,000 American children and youth in foster care and the family members, foster parents, volunteers, mentors, child welfare professionals, and policymakers who help them find permanent homes and connections. On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Helen Richardson, foster parent and Foster Care and Adoption Manager for Focus on the Family, joins us to share her story and encourage families to make a difference in the lives of the more than 400,000+ children in foster care.

Stephanie Bennett
An active researcher, Dr. Stephanie Bennett is a frequent presenter at the National Communication Association convention, the International Jacques Ellul Society, the Media Ecology Association, and other conferences throughout the U.S. and abroad. Much of her research focuses on digital culture, with specific attention to the intersection of interpersonal communication and the Judeo-Christian faith. Married for three decades to Earl Bennett, she is the mother of three grown children and an ever-increasing number of grandchildren.
Helen Richardson
Helen Richardson is a foster parent herself, and through her role as Foster Care and Adoption Manager for Focus on the Family, she advocates across the country for families to be involved in both adoption and foster care. After losing her parents at a young age and spending time in foster care and kinship care until she was 18, she brings a powerful perspective to the ministry of Focus on the Family. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and fly fishing in Colorado Springs where she lives with her husband.
