On Thursday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Pastor Duane Roberts from Calvary Chapel Boynton Beach talks to us about the power of prayer on this National Day of Prayer. God has established prayer as the means by which we receive his supernatural help. And without His help, we cannot live a life worthy of the gospel. Everything that distinguishes Christians from the world in a Christ-exalting way is a work of God’s supernatural grace. And God has ordained that this grace flows to us through prayer. That’s why prayer must be central, in our lives, families and ministries.
If you're looking for a way to expand your outlook, solidify your relationship with God, and strengthen your regular habit of connecting to God, Practicing His Presence, will challenge you to do just that, as you spend 8 minutes of daily intimacy with God, praying and receiving encouragement every day of the year. On Thursday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Teo Babun joins us to share that the purpose of this book is to guide and support the reader in drawing near to God on a regular basis so God's wisdom will guide our lives more and more.
In 2008, Duane Roberts visited Calvary Chapel Boynton Beach, and by the third visit, he and his wife Adeline knew this was their church home. Two years later, he was ordained as a pastor. His heart is to shepherd God’s people and to love on them as He would. Duane really connects with people who are going through a hard time and feel it is an honor to teach God’s Word. Together with his wife Adeline and their children, Makai, Adren, and Sanai, they pray that there would be a great harvest of new and committed believers in Boynton Beach.
Dr. Teo Babun was born in Cuba and immigrated to the U.S. at age 12 following the confiscation of his family's belongings by the leaders of the Cuban Revolution. He is president of Outreach Aid to the Americas, Inc. (OAA), involved in advocacy for freedom of religion & belief, human rights, and social services. He has written numerous books on Cuba and living deeply in devotion to God.
