Have you ever lost a beloved pet? It's hard to lose someone you love, and a pet holds a special place in our hearts! On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Mark Gregston, host of Parenting Today's Teens joins us to tell how he wrote the book, Where's Stitch to help children grieving the loss of a beloved pet and to remind them that even after our pets pass away, they live forever in our hearts.
“To be continued…” The words build anticipation for what's coming . . . which is great for a Netflix binge, but not a healthy pattern for our lives. In real life, constant continuation causes our lives to pile up, episode upon episode, with no space for reflection or rest, contentment or closure. How do we prevent our past from piling up and find hope for our future? On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, pastor Mike Ashcraft joins us to talk about how the pressure of our piled up past needs to be brought to an end, so that we can recognize God's grace and faithfulness as we move from one season to another in our lives.
Mark Gregston began working with teens over forty years ago as a youth minister and Young Life director. He and his wife Jan founded Heartlight, a residential counseling center for struggling teens and families in crisis. He has authored nearly two dozen books, has written hundreds of articles, and is host of the nationally acclaimed Parenting Today’s Teens podcast and radio broadcast, heard on over 1,800 radio outlets throughout North America. Mark and Jan are the proud grandparents of four: Maile, Macie, Chase, and Carter.
Mike Ashcraft serves as the Senior Pastor at Port City Community Church which he helped start in 1999. He married Julie, his high school sweetheart, in 1992. They grew up in Atlanta and relocated near the beach in southeastern North Carolina. He enjoys family time with his two daughters and one son-in-law. The beach is his happy place and surfing is the only hobby he needs.
