Samaritan's Purse has established an Emergency Field Hospital on the outskirts of Lviv, in western Ukraine, to care for those suffering as war rages on. Samaritan's Purse has a partner network of 3,200 churches inside Ukraine, and they were able to open up this emergency field hospital and see new patients on March 14. On Monday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Edward Graham from Samaritan's Purse will join us to talk about the response of Samaritan's Purse to Ukraine during this conflict.
Dr. Glen Duerr was born in the United Kingdom, moved to Canada as a teenager, and then to the United States to obtain his Ph.D. His teaching and research interests include nationalism and secession, political violence (nuclear weapons and terrorism), and Christianity and politics. He serves as Policy Fellow for the Wallace Institute for Arctic Security, which advocates for a robust U.S. policy for the Arctic. In addition to his academic duties, he is an "elected official" and currently serves as City Council Member in Beavercreek, Ohio. He is married and has three children.
Edward Graham is the youngest son of Franklin and Jane Graham, and the grandson of Billy Graham. He serves as the VP of Operations for Samaritan’s Purse. Edward graduated from the United States Military Academy where he went on to serve 16 years in the US Army. After multiple combat deployments within Special Operations and serving in various leadership positions, he felt called by the Lord to return home and serve in the ministry starting in the winter of 2018. Edward and Kristy have been married for 16 years, and have one daughter and three sons. They are raising their four children in the mountains of North Carolina.
