Moody RadioGood news of great joy is still being announced by angels to Middle Eastern shepherds today--by people willing to risk their freedom and even their lives to do so. God is still working in the region, countries, and towns where many parts of the Biblical narrative took place. On Thursday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Todd Nettleton, host of VOM Radio and media spokesperson for the VOM, just returned from meeting with Christians from countries of the Middle East, and he will provide updates on the growth--and the persecution--of the church in the region.
Mississippi Pastor Adam Wyatt loves America and wants others to love this country, too, but in a biblical way. He says that our modern view of patriotism is "dangerously close to idolatry" and has become blurred in unhealthy and even unbiblical ways. On Thursday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Pastor Wyatt shares from his debut book, Biblical Patriotism: An Evangelical Alternative to Nationalism. He forces readers to wrestle with their patriotic attachment to their country, reject nationalism, and return to a biblical view and love for country.
Todd Nettleton is the Chief of Media Relations and Message Integration for The Voice of the Martyrs—USA and host of The Voice of the Martyrs Radio. Todd serves as a voice for persecuted Christians, inspiring US Christians with the faithfulness of Christ's followers in 70+ nations where they face persecution for wearing His name. During more than 20 years serving at VOM, Todd has traveled the world and conducted face-to-face interviews with hundreds of Christians who've endured persecution in more than 30 nations.
Dr. Adam Wyatt received his PhD in Biblical Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Kansa City, MO) in 2021. A second-generation Southern Baptist pastor, he currently serves as the senior pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi. He has a heart for church revitalization and has served in various denominational roles within the Southern Baptist Convention.
