Wednesday is Day 8 of our Mornings with Eric and Brigitte Book Club. Join along in our festive advent discussion!
We don't like to admit it, but after reading the Luke 2 story of Christmas for years--or even decades--sometimes it doesn't grab our interest, and we begin to jump over the details without paying attention. That's why this book was written, The Characters of Christmas: The Unlikely People Caught Up in the Story of Jesus. Wednesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, pastor and author, Daniel Darling helps us take a fresh look at the Christmas story by getting to know all the characters who played a part in Jesus' birth.
We all want to help our hurting friends, whether their suffering is due to the death of a loved one, a divorce, serious illness, depression, a family member with special needs, job loss or something else. But often we don’t know what to do. Some of us choose to disengage because our own lives are overwhelming while others say insensitive things or try to help in ways that don’t feel supportive. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Vaneetha Rendall Risner joins us to share a guide she wrote that gives practical ways to help a suffering friend, called "Helping the Hurting".
