Pastor Darren Bennett, Calvary Chapel North Miami joins Mornings with Eric and Brigitte on Wednesday to share about his book honoring his brother Shannon who was a fallen police officer. Shannon was the first police officer in the state of Florida to die in the line of duty due to contracting Covid-19. His aim in the book was to tell a love story of two brothers who lived in each other’s world from childhood years into young adult years. Two brothers who eventually went opposite directions but found their way back to each other because of the bond of love. This is the story of how love bridged the chasm between a conservative evangelical preacher and an openly gay police officer.Hour 3: Weekend to Remember

Perry LaHaie
Perry LaHaie is a radio host, singer, and songwriter with a passion to see the Great Commission completed in our generation. He was born and raised in northern Michigan, earned a degree in communications, and later a graduate degree in cross-cultural communications. Music and ministry have taken him all over the world. He served at Family Life Radio before serving with Frontiers, a worldwide ministry to Muslims. Perry and his wife, Teresa, have two children, Kali and Taylor.
Darren Bennett
Pastor Darren Bennett has been part of the Calvary family since 2010. He and his wife Christine have five children, Destinee 23, Robert 21, Darionna 17, Darriale 15, and Jael 13. God called Darren and his family to plant a church in North Miami, and after much prayer and confirmation, the couple opened their hands and let God lead the way. Darren and his family reside in North Miami Dade so they understand the unique opportunity they have to infuse the message of the gospel to a very culturally diverse demographic.
Brian and Jen Goins
Brian & Jen Goins live in Little Rock, AR where Brian is the Senior Director of Strategic Projects and helps lead the Weekend to Remember team. He is also a producer of the documentary, "The Brain, The Heart, The World,” a series exploring the dangers of pornography. Jen is the Women’s Ministry Director at Christ Community Church. The Goins have 3 kids, Brantley, Palmer, and Gibson. As a family they enjoy making annual treks to Montana to hike and ski and have loved attending Pine Cove family camp together.
