As Christians, how do we remain gospel-focused and united in a divided world? Sometimes we decide to remain silent, because it's easier and more comfortable for us, but our call is to stand up for the Truth. Bi-vocational church planter, Dennis John joins Mornings with Eric and Brigitte on Friday to share how he believes the challenge for Christians is to balance two things: our call to evangelism and our call to stand against evil. In this polarized world, we need to ask the Holy Spirit for discernment between the two.
The Unfiltered Truth ministry's mission is to encourage people to whole-heartedly embrace their "unfiltered truth", the author and redeemer of their story. The ministry has launched a podcast this year, and their heart is for the listeners to ultimately be pointed to the one common thread in each episode--which is the Author and Redeemer of every story, Jesus. Friday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Isabelle Reardon and Skylar Schott join us to tell their story of how they hit the streets with a sign that simply says, "Tell Me Your Story and I'll Tell You Mine".
Dennis John served as an assistant youth pastor in South Florida and is currently a bi-vocational church planter in PA. He oversees Calvary Fellowship of Broomall, located right outside of Philadelphia. He is married to his wife of 11 years, Anisha, and they have two young children, Selah, age 5 and Noah, age 1.
Isabelle Reardon and Skylar Schott both grew up in South Florida, but it wasn’t until they were living in Hungary, attending Bible college together that they actually met. During this time they did regular street evangelism outreach. They were continually moved by their interactions with people on the streets and within the Bible college and hearing people’s stories, whether they were ones of hopelessness or filled with hope. This ignited within them a passion to reveal the truth of God and His Word through people’s testimonies, and so birthed the ministry of Unfiltered Truth.
