Thursday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Todd Nettleton, Chief of Media Relations and Message Integration for Voice of the Martyrs, will give us an update on how the world pandemic is affecting the persecuted church. The mission of VOM is Serving persecuted Christians through practical and spiritual assistance, and leading other members of the body of Christ into fellowship with them. How does this continue to happen in this challenging time?
Lately we've been spending much more time with our families than usual, and when that happens, sometimes valuable relationships suffer. Just like before the coronavirus outbreak, we sometimes say something we shouldn't say or do something we shouldn't do to someone we love. Thursday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Gary Chapman shares that even in the best of relationships, all of us make mistakes, so we need to make things right, but simply saying you're sorry is usually not enough.
Todd Nettleton is director of media development for The Voice of the Martyrs, working with the media to tell the stories of persecuted Christians to people in the United States. In his role with VOM, he has met with Christians who face persecution in many countries, including Sudan, China, Egypt, Turkey, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma) and Azerbaijan.
Dr. Gary Chapman is a well-known marriage counselor and director of marriage seminars. He has written more than 25 books including the #1 New York Times Best Seller, The Five Love Languages. Chapman is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, with degrees from Wheaton College, Wake Forest University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, plus postgraduate work at the University of North Carolina and Duke University. He is the host of Building Relationships on Moody Radio along with Chris & Andrea Fabry (listen Saturdays at 1 p.m. ET).
