D. James Kennedy Ministries has been included on the SPLC's (Southern Poverty Law Center) "hate map" and classified as a "hate group" for teaching the traditional, Biblical position on marriage and sexuality. As a result, the ministry has been excluded from participating in Amazon's "Smile" charity program, which DJKM argues is religious discrimination. Tuesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, President and CEO of DJKM, Dr. Frank Wright, will share how their ministry will persevere in pressing this legal battle on behalf of all Bible-believing Christian ministries labeled 'hate groups' by the SPLC.
Trying to convince people to do foster care or adoption can feel just like another daunting, impossible task. Churches usually spend their time looking for volunteers for the nursery! But what if we're thinking about it the wrong way? What if orphan care actually increases your church's capacity to do ministry? Tuesday on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, author and pastor Todd R. Chipman offers a vision of how orphan care vitalizes local church ministry.
Dr. Wright holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Florida Atlantic University and is an ordained Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). For many years, Dr. Frank Wright was a protégée of Dr. D. James Kennedy. After establishing the Center for Christian Statesmanship as a vital force for evangelism and the Biblical worldview on Capitol Hill, serving for over a decade as the President and CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters, and acting as the President and COO of Salem Communications Corporation, Frank Wright joined D. James Kennedy Ministries as President and CEO on April 15, 2015.
Todd Chipman is assistant professor of Biblical Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has also been the teaching pastor at The Master's Community Church (SBC), Kansas City, Kansas, since 2000. He is the author of ScriptureStoryline, a Biblical Theology commentary. He and his wife have seven children and advocate for foster/adoption ministry.
