Hour 1: Praying for Our Country

This past weekend, in El Paso and Dayton, we witnessed yet another round of evil and violence in our nation. Father, we pray—not in self-righteous judgment, but as your weary children. We long for the Day when perfect peace will replace darkness; when the wolf and lamb will frolic together (Isaiah 9:6) South Florida Pastor Norm Wise and Moody Bible Institute Professor Winfred Neely joined us this morning to help us process the acts of violence that continue to take place in our country and pray for all of us to find peace in You.

Hour 2: Giving Sacrificially

How do we balance the discipline of giving with the emotion and spontaneity that often is part of giving?  Giving sacrificially is something that we all can do to help others and further God's work on earth. On Monday Moody Radio financial expert Glenn Zimmerman will join Mornings with Eric and Brigitte to help us see that for Christians, part of giving is learning about the needs that are out there and what God and His people are doing to meet them.
