Pastor Mike joined Mornings with Eric on Friday to share the biblical principles and practical advice for raising sons who love the Lord, increase in wisdom, and bless the world from his book, Raising Men, Not Boys: Shepherding Your Sons to be Men of God.

Hour 3: The Positive Impact of Fathers
Every father has a hidden longing to see his children surpass him. To help him achieve this, Ken Canfield offers a three-part plan. First, a dad should examine his own heart. Next, he should take steps to improve the way he connects with his children. Lastly, he should take a longer range view and plan specifically for a lifetime of involved fathering. Friday on Mornings with Eric, Ken Canfield will share how fathers can anticipate and prepare for the changing situations they'll face in their lives so they can encourage and affirm their children as they grow up in this ever-changing world we live in.

Mike Fabarez
Dr. Mike Fabarez is the founding pastor of Compass Bible Church in South Orange County, California and has been in pastoral ministry for over 30 years. He is committed to clearly communicating God’s word verse-by-verse and encourages his listeners to apply what they have learned to their daily lives. Pastor Mike is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Talbot School of Theology (M.A.) and Westminster Theological Seminary in California (D.Min.). Mike is heard on hundreds of stations on the Focal Point radio program and has authored several books, including Ten Mistakes People Make About Heaven Hell and the Afterlife, Lifelines for Tough Times, Preaching That Changes Lives, and Bible Survey for Kids. Mike and his wife, Carlynn, have three children, Matthew, John and Stephanie.
Dennis Demarois
Dennis Demarois is the Executive Director of The Gathering of Palm Beach County. He is a Florida native and has a passion for encouraging and equipping men to become all that God wants them to be as Christ's disciples through the ministry of The Gathering Palm Beach.
Ken Canfield
Dr. Ken Canfield, a nationally-known leader and scholar, has committed his life to strengthening families and fathers. He has founded and continues to engage in several organizations dedicated to improving family well-being, most notably the National Center for Fathering, where he served as President for 16 years. He is currently president of the National Association for Grandparenting, which he founded in 2016. Ken and his wife Dee (a Professional Counselor) have been married 40 years. They have five children and ten grandchildren.
