The Salvation Army created the “holiday” in 1938 to commemorate female volunteers who provided doughnuts and coffee to soldiers on the front lines in France in 1917 during World War I. Friday, on Mornings with Eric, we’ll speak with Lt. Jeff Marquis and learn more about this fun day, how you can participate, and about all the work the Salvation Army is doing in the name of Jesus around the world.

Hour 2: International Day for the Unreached
June 9, 2019 has been designated as the fourth annual International Day for the Unreached, a one-day event intended to inspire and mobilize Christians to reach out to more than 2 billion people around the world who have yet to hear the gospel. CEO of Trans World Radio, Lauren Libby will join Mornings With Eric on Friday to share with Moody Radio listeners how we can learn to live more passionately when it comes to sharing Christ locally and globally.

Lauren has served as TWR’s president and CEO since December 2008. In 1979, Lauren married June. He says that God has greatly used her in his life to develop sensitivity to the needs of others and has used their family to mold his character. Lauren and June have one son, Grant, a graduate of Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Va.
