Moody RadioThe "mountaintop" experiences are wonderful and God uses them to prepare us for the trials. Join Dawn and Steve in the Morning for a devotional from Blackaby Ministries International about experiencing victory in the trials ahead.
The LORD our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: "'You have dwelt long enough at this mountain." Deuteronomy 1:6
Also, author Guillaume Bignon has a conversation with Dawn about his book Confessions of a French Atheist: How God Hijacked My Quest to Disprove the Christian Faith. Dr. Guillaume Bignon was born and raised in France, where he studied math, physics, and engineering science. He currently works as a software engineering manager. After a wholly improbable conversion from atheism to Christianity, Guillaume earned a master's in biblical literature with an emphasis on the New Testament, and a Ph.D. in philosophical theology. His areas of interest include the metaphysics of free will, natural theology, and soteriology. Guillaume is an executive committee member of Association Axiome, a society of French-speaking Christian scholars. He and his wife, Katherine, have five young (and adorable) children.
Listen to this second hour of the morning show as Dawn discusses the articles "Sharing Your Testimony Is Not Enough" by Trevin Wax and "10 Scriptures to Beat Back Shame" by Stacey Monaco.
Dawn welcomes Fernando Arroyo as he shares his incredible testimony and book The Shadow of Death: From My Battles in Fallujah to the Battle for My Soul.
Fernando is a former Paratrooper in the famed 82nd Airborne Division. He earned his bachelor's degree from UC Irvine, in Criminology. Fernando then attended the Talbot School of Theology, BIOLA University, and earned his Master of Divinity degree, with an emphasis on pastoral care and counseling.
While studying at BIOLA University, he helped to create the BIOLA Veterans Association and the BIOLA Veterans Center and served as an advocate for veterans on campus. Later, Fernando worked at the Orange County Rescue Mission as the Veteran Services Case Manager. He had the privilege of serving veterans who were struggling with different issues ranging from PTSD, drug addiction, and homelessness.
Today, Fernando works as the Veterans Outreach Director at Step Forward Academy helping veterans and their families find a path to a living wage through mentorship and coaching.
