Author, David A. Morales, is a guest on Dawn and Steve Mornings to share his story and remind us of our identity in Christ. His new book American Familia: A Memoir of Perseverance tells his family's story about growing up in poverty and the transformative life's lessons along the way. 

Over the last two decades, David has had an accomplished career in government, corporate America, and the not-for-profit sector. In addition to leading a health plan, he served as a senior executive for a multinational healthcare company, founded his own consulting company, and enjoyed a rewarding career in public service. David and his wife, Samanda, co-founded Ahora Inc., a not-for-profit dedicated to empowering working-class families and low-income individuals to build self-reliance through financial literacy, money management, and wealth building.

Valerie Neff Hogan holds a law degree and is a Certified Financial Planner. She works with National Christian Foundation, Orchard Ministry Development, and Widow Connection. Since 2000 Valerie has served in churches leading groups and individuals toward good stewardship with Christian Financial Concepts, Crown Financial, and Financial Peace University. She is married and has three children.

Miriam Neff is the Founder and President of Widow Connection and the author of 11 books. She speaks nationally and internationally on women’s and widow’s issues, navigating unwanted life changes. She has 23 years of professional counseling experience and is the widow of Robert Neff,  mother of four children, and a grandmother.
