Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Michele Rickett, CEO of She Is Safe, is a guest on the morning show to share about this important issue. She Is Safe prevents, rescues, and restores women and girls from abuse and slavery in high-risk communities across the world, equipping them to build lives of freedom and faith for a strong future.
Michele is a founding board member of She is Safe. Her career in nonprofit work began with a missionary assignment in Kenya with Partners International in the 1980s and has spanned over 30 years. In 2002, she and a group of other board members launched She Is Safe. Michele's teaching, writing, and leadership have raised awareness of human trafficking and created pathways for people to effectively engage in this issue with their time, talents, network, and finances.
