Michele is a founding board member of She is Safe. Her career in nonprofit work began with a missionary assignment in Kenya with Partners International in the 1980s and has spanned over 30 years. In 2002, she and a group of other board members launched She Is Safe. Michele's teaching, writing, and leadership have raised awareness of human trafficking and created pathways for people to effectively engage in this issue with their time, talents, network, and finances.
