Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank of Indianapolis, John Whitaker, joins Kelli and Steve to re-introduce this ministry and its impact on our community.  We'll learn about the goals of food collection, and how we can join the cause.

Hour 3: Bible Memory Man

Bible memorization is a goal of every Christian, as we wholy understand the importance, but the practice and daily devotion can be overwhelming.  Professor Tom Meyer has memorized 20 books of the Bible! His habit suggestions and memory strategies will help us meditate and remember God's Holy Word, line upon line, precept upon precept!

Kelli and Steve discuss an article regarding the Texas church shooting.  Now fatherless, a daughter has chosen to forgive the man who killed her father.  God always seems to work conversations for our good, as he aligns circumstances to deal with our hearts.

John comes to Midwest Food Bank with over 30 Years experience in retail and wholesale grocery operations and has been actively involved in local ministry and church leadership serving for 7 years as the Pastor of Administration at Gray Road Church and School on Indianapolis’s south side.  John is currently the Vice Chair and charter member of the Indy Hunger Network which is a Nationally recognized organization that works on Hunger advocacy and building an effective feeding network in Indianapolis.  John’s passion to care for the needy started when he organized and lead a team of volunteers to minister to Hurricane Katrina victims one week after that disaster.

Rydelnik is professor of Jewish Studies at Moody Bible Institute and the Bible teacher on Moody Radio’s Open Line, answering listener Bible questions on over 200 stations nationwide. The son of Holocaust survivors, Michael was raised in an observant Jewish home in Brooklyn, N.Y. As a high school student, Michael became a follower of Jesus the Messiah and began teaching the Bible almost immediately.
