Steve and Kelli got to interview Phil Vischer a few weeks ago. The Lord, after taking Phil through a persoanl character adjustment, gave him back his beloved Veggie Tales. "What is more important, the dream, or God?" Now with new focus, and after publishing the Laugh and Learn Bible, God has given Vischer mercy in "second chances," just like his old films. Phil has fresh vision as Dream Works and TBN has partnered to bring families quality programming, possibly bringing Bob and Larry back to the big screen!

Every time we meet someone, we make a first impression, a memory burn. The same thing happens with characters of the Bible. Dr. Coakley shares a fresh secret to Bible study, with three questions to consider as we re-read our favorite stories. We look at first words, first actions, and the first physical description. The closer we look at a Biblical character, the more we learn about ourselves.
Author and filmmaker Phil Vischer has had a significant impact on American culture. His groundbreaking children’s series, VeggieTales, has sold more than 65 million copies, been featured in major magazines and newspapers and even spoofed by Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons. Phil created Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber as a 25 year-old Chicago-based computer animator, searching for ways to integrate his faith and his filmmaking. With the help of his wife, Lisa, his college buddy Mike Nawrocki, two art school grads and his church’s music director, Kurt Heinecke, Phil landed VeggieTales videos in a third of all American households with young children.
Phil has produced What’s in the Bible? – a 13-part DVD series walking families all the way through from Genesis to Revelation, explaining the origins, meaning, and some of the “trickier bits” of the world’s most influential book. Phil is also a frequent radio guest on Family Life Radio, Focus on the Family, and others.
Robert Dickie III has served as a decorated Air Force Officer, the CEO of an international company, and as the leader of several non-profits. In July 2011 he became the President of Crown. Bob and his wife Brandi reside in Knoxville, TN with their six children and two dogs. They are both graduates of the University of Tennessee. Bob earned his Master's Degree from the University of Arkansas in Industrial Engineering and is currently in the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program.
