Hour 1: Biblical Worldview Question of the Week | Anchorsaway

"Was it fair for God to punish Adam and Eve with death for disobeying Him?"

Every Tuesday we take a question from a local teenager, and share answers from a Biblical Worldview.  Nancy Fitzgerald says mankind was made/born with a conscience.  Romans 2:14 says "Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it."  Adam and Eve had no personal experience with evil, but they had an understanding of it.  Given their lack of experience, their being deceived by the serpant was understandbale, but not excusable.  They had the understanding and ability to obey, but disobeyed anyway.

Hour 2: Reverence (Part 1)

Reverence begins within the heart of each individual.  We come from the Land of the Free, and with our rights, we've become critical.  Christians first need to be marked by obedience.  If we are complainers and unsatisfied, we will be non-compliant, pushing our agendas.  Hebrews 12 says our God is a "Consuming Fire." God commands us to "honor those who come before the Lord who taught us something." We become reverent when we honor our leaders and history that is Godly, prayerful, dignified and worth immitating.
