What is wrong with wanting to be popular?

We were born to be loved.  We love applause and attention, and want to be admired.  The mark of a Christian, however, is to seek God and love others well.  Nancy Fitzgerald says when we fall into pride, we no longer focus on others, but rather love ouselves. Scripture helps us refocus and reflect Christ in all we do.

Maturity in Christ is taking the Beatitudes from the pages of scripture and applying them to real life.  We're inviting God to be in your city, church and family.  Salt without it's saltiness is pointless.  We need to BE available.
