We live in a dangerous and deceptive world. There are many false teachers everywhere who can subtly and almost imperceptibly veer you off course. Our series of messages, meant to help us stay on target with God, continues today with important words from the book of 2 Peter about our spiritual journey.
Many times along our spiritual journey subtle things come along side us and before long, we start struggling with our faith, with our belief. It’s possible that we’ve been deceived. We don’t know the fake from the real thing, you see.

Dr. Mark Jobe
Dr. Mark Jobe serves as president of Moody Bible Institute and host of Moody Radio’s Bold Steps programs. He is the author of Unstuck: Out of Your Cave into Your Call (Moody Publishers). He is also the founding pastor of New Life Community Church, a Chicago-based ministry with 27 locations throughout Chicago. Mark earned a diploma from Moody in 1984, a master’s degree from Moody Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in transformational leadership from Bakke Graduate University. He and his wife, Dee, have three adult children.
Jon Gauger
Jon Gauger has worked at Moody Radio for more than three decades. In addition to hosting Today in the Word Radio and Moody Presents with Dr. Mark Jobe, Jon produces and hosts The Land and the Book. He writes and produces a weekly commentary, creates special documentaries, and has traveled to more than 35 countries covering stories for Moody Radio and training international broadcasting partners. Jon is the author of If I Could Do It All Over Again and Kids Say the Wisest Things. Jon, his wife, Diana, and their two grown children are all Moody graduates.
