According to the Census Bureau, four out of five women will outlive their husbands and it’s especially tough for a widow who has little to no experience handling the family finances. Even in cases where the widow handled the finances, she’s likely to be engulfed in grief resulting in financial matters being placed on the back burner. On the next MoneyWise Live, hosts Rob West and Steve Moore welcome Miriam Neff and Valerie Neff Hogan who share spiritual and financial advice for widows. That’s MoneyWise Live at 4pm Eastern/3pm Central on Moody Radio.
Miriam Neff is founder and president of Widow Connection and a former high school teacher and counselor. She is the author of eight books, including From One Widow to Another: Conversations on the New You and Women and Their Emotions. Her one minute feature, New Beginnings, is heard on over 1200 outlets. Miriam’s late husband, Bob, was the former vice president of Moody Radio.
Valerie joined the NCF Chicago office as a Relationship Manager in 2019. She is the Executive Director at Orchard Ministry Development “OMD” where she assists donors with non-cash and legacy gifts.
