The Challenge Of Cancer

When cancer comes calling.
Two prayer opportunities:
Franklin Graham, the evangelist and brother of Anne Graham Lotz, has revealed that his sister is experiencing “severe side effects” from chemotherapy treatment, and has asked for prayers.
Anne has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments in her battle against breast cancer, which she was diagnosed with in August.
Also.. it's well known that Joni Eareckson Tada is a seasoned warrior when it comes to dealing with serious health issues. She has endured 51 years of quadriplegia, chronic pain, and a previous battle against stage 3 breast cancer 8 years ago. In 2010, she underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy treatment; and in 2015, she was declared cancer free.
Joni recently underwent tests on a small nodule which had developed over the site of her mastectomy. After biopsies, doctors discovered a small cancerous tumor within the nodule. “When I received the unexpected news of cancer from my surgeon, I relaxed and smiled, knowing that my sovereign God loves me dearly and holds me tightly in His hands. What good is it if we only trust the Lord when we understand His ways? That only guarantees a life filled with doubts.”
Powerful.
Have you.. or someone you know.. ever faced a battle with cancer?
How did the Lord walk with you through it?
What would you like to tell someone who is on that journey now?
Their family?
Lessons cancer taught me.. or someone I know.
