Near Death Experiences

What's your take on "near death experiences"?
We received a call a few days ago from a follower of Jesus who told us about his.
Since we've never had an in-depth conversation about this.. I'm thinking now is a great time to dive in.
Do you believe many of these stories of going to heaven.. or for that matter hell.. are genuine?
What about seeing Jesus?
Hearing the voice of God?
From books to movies to testimonies on YouTube there are literally thousands of these stories.
Maybe you have one yourself.. or know someone who does.
We'd love to hear the story and get your thoughts about it.
What about your biblical convictions regarding NDEs?
Is it possible that Satan is deceiving us in all of this?
After all.."No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light". (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Or could he be tainting the true stories with ones that are false.. making us skeptical and leading us to "throw out the baby with the bathwater"?
What do you think of what reportedly happened to Evangelist D.L. Moody on his deathbed: “Earth is receding and heaven is at hand . . . I can see the children!” Someone present remarked that he was only dreaming. But Moody opened his eyes and rebuked his friend. “I am not dreaming,” he replied. “If this is death, it is sweet. There is no valley here. God is calling me and I must go.”
Let the conversation begin...
