“No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13) NASB
We yield to temptation when our feelings of the moment exceed the desire to say no.
Those feelings can be pain, frustration, exhaustion, depression, and discouragement.
In that moment we don’t think about the consequences of acting out. To be honest.. maybe we don’t even care at that point.
The Lord and His will fade into the background.
It’s the moment when He becomes the most unreal to us.
Every day is a battle.
So I’m thinking we need to talk about life on the front lines.
It’ll take courage for sure.
But it’s worth it!
What is your greatest temptation at the moment?
When do your greatest battles happen?
What are your ‘triggers”?
How do you do you say “no” when you want to say “yes”?
What have you learned from your victories?
From your defeats?
What do you want to say to your brother or sister in Christ who is losing hope that they can win the battle against temptation?
We all have battle scars.
Let’s make the most of them for the glory of God and the good of His people!
